Butterfield RV Resort has an on site Observatory that is ready for your enjoyment! Call 1-800-863-8160 NOW for reservations. The on site facility will be open daily from 9 to 11 am for tours and is FREE to our Resort Guests. The primary instrument in the Observatory is the Meade LX-200 GPS 16-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. This is a university quality installation housed in a 15 foot diameter electrically operated dome. The building also includes a control room and work room. The observatory is managed and operated by our resident astronomer.
